Liver Casserole

Dusk is getting earlier and earlier, have a real comfort dish served with a mound of buttery mash.

Ingredients

Recipe

  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 1/2 green pepper, finely chopped
  • 300 g lambs liver, sliced
  • 2 rashers smoked bacon, chopped
  • 50 g mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 tbs cooking oil
  • 25 g plain flour
  • 150 ml hot beef stock
  • gravy browning

Liver Casserole Directions

  1. 1. Heat the oil in a microwave casserole dish for 1 minute on High.
  2. 2. Add the onion and pepper to oil and stir, cover and microwave on High for 2-3 minutes until soft.
  3. 3. Stir in the flour then slowly stir in the stock. Add the liver and bacon to the casserole. Microwave on Roast (70%) for 6 minutes. Stir.
  4. 4. Add the sliced mushrooms and microwave on Roast (70%) for a further 4 minutes.
