Taco Soup

Ingredients

For 4 people

Recipe

  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 0.5 cup chopped onion
  • 1 1/2 cup water
  • 1 ( oz) can tomato sauce
  • 1 (1 oz) can diced tomatoes
  • 1 (1 oz) can red or black beans, undrained
  • 2 tbs taco seasoning mix
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • pepper, to taste
  • Garnish:
  • cheddar cheese
  • chips
  • cream

Taco Soup Directions

  1. 1. Cook ground beef and onion until browned in a large pot.
  2. 2. Drain off fat and return to the pot.
  3. 3. Add water, tomato sauce, tomatoes, beans, taco seasoning, sugar, salt and pepper.
  4. 4. Mix together and simmer for 15 minutes.
  5. 5. Adjust the seasonings, if needed.
  6.  

  7. This recipe is easily doubled and it is so good that I usually double it so that we can have leftovers for a few meals.
