Chocolate Cases

Chocolate cases are available to purchase from the deli but, it is inexpensive and quick to make your own.

Staying with tradition this recipe uses paper cupcake cases though silicone moulds do result in a shiny professional finish. Experiment using milk, plain and white chocolate though do let each layer set firm between layers.

Chocolate Cases Directions

  1. 1. Melt the chocolate either over a pan of simmering water or in the microwave for about 2 minutes full power.
  2. 2. Whilst the chocolate is melting, line a muffin tin with the paper cases - use two cases together for each one.
  3. 3. Using the melted chocolate, brush the inside of each case. Pop into the fridge to set. Continue building up the layers until you reach your desired thickness - this is where you may want to add some variety by using different varieties of chocolate. Leave to set.
  4. 4. Gently peel away the paper case and fill with your choice of sweetmeats - macerated fruits, mousse, ice cream etc.
