Everyone has their special method of cooking rice and often I think it is best to stick with your own way. However, if you are in a hurry here is a successful microwave alternative.
Place the rice, water and salt in a large microwave safe basin. cover and microwave on High for 5 - 7 minutes until soft. Drain, fluff-up and serve with your favourite meal.
