Microwave - Flapjack

A delicious tea-time treat...

  • 100 g butter
  • 25 g caster sugar
  • 35 g soft brown sugar
  • 4 level tbs golden syrup*
  • 200 g rolled oats

Microwave - Flapjack Directions

  1. Grease a 20cm square shallow baking dish.
  2. 1. Place the butter and sugar in a microwave mixing bowl. Cook on High for 1-1 1/2 minutes until the butter has melted.
  3. 2. Stir in the syrup then work in the oats until completely mixed.
  4. 3. Press into the prepared dish and microwave on High for 4 minutes. Leave to cool in the dish. Cut into pieces whilst still warm.
  5. Based on a 600W oven
  6.  *easier to do if you warm the syrup slightly by placing the can in a jug of hot water - be careful that you do not burn yourself!
