Banoffee Pie

A quick and easy dessert that is so very, very indulgent.

  • 100g melted butter
  • 200g crushed digestive or gingernut biscuits
  • 2 bananas
  • 397 g can of sweetened condensed milk
  • 150ml double cream whippedgrated chocolate to decorate

Banoffee Pie Directions

  1. 1. Add the crushed biscuits to the melted butter and press in base of a deep flan dish.Chill in fridge.
  2. 2. Boil a large saucepan of water and add the unopened tin of condensed milk to it. Leave in water for about an hour.  May need to keep topping up the water.
  3. 3. Cut the bananas up and lay on the crumb base. Carefully open the can of condensed milk,  which will have turned to  a caramel, and spread on top of the crumb base. When cooled add the whipped cream and grated chocolate to decorate.
